What type of Coaching is right for you.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.

We all have goals we want to reach, challenges we’re striving to overcome and times when we feel stuck. Partnering with a coach can change your life, setting you on a path to greater personal and professional fulfillment.

But how do you know what type of coach is right for you?

I am often asked about the differences between the various coaching types. You want to choose a Coach whose focus and style align with your needs and goals, personally and/or professionally.

Here is a brief overview of coaching types:

Business Coaching

Business coaching is a collaborative relationship between a business owner or CEO and a professional coach, aimed at strategically developing a successful business.

Career Coaching

Career coaching helps empower working professionals, those experiencing career disruptions and recent graduates make educated decisions on the direction of their careers.

Entrepreneurship Coaching

Entrepreneurship coaching is meant for the person who is committed to creating a thriving, successful business. Entrepreneurship coaches focus on where your business is currently; evaluate what’s working and what’s not; determine goals; and create an action plan.

Executive Coaching

Executive coaching works with individuals (usually executives, but often high-potential employees) to help them gain self-awareness, clarify goals, achieve their development objectives, unlock their potential, and/or act as a sounding board.

Leadership Coaching

Leadership coaching works with the leaders of an organization to help them maximize their abilities and empower their teams to thrive.

Performance Coaching

Performance coaching helps all people reach their full potential, in any area of their lives.

Health and Wellness Coaching

Health and wellness coaches work with clients to improve their health, vitality, and well-being by engaging in behaviors that have been proven to improve health and prevent disease – these include weight loss, fitness, nutrition, stress coping, sleep, mind-body and positive psychology intervention.

Retirement and Transition Coaching

Transition coaches work with people going through major transitions, such as retiring from or changing careers, starting a family, and recovering from death or divorce.

Team Coaching

Team coaching facilitates and challenges teams to maximize their performance and enjoyment in service of meaningful organizational goals.
