Shelley is a highly professional coach for all matters personal and professional. Shelley uses mindfulness, intention, and thoughtful dialogue/questions which really helped me to have ‘break through’ sessions with her. Shelley, thank you for helping me and for providing me the space to seek clarity and to better see my path forward.
Shelley is a highly skilled and very flexible professional in her area of expertise. I found her very easy to work with. She is not daunted by challenges or difficult situations and rather faces them head on with a great deal of resilience and determination. I would highly recommend her for any project/work as she would be a tremendous asset to any team. Shelley is an extremely motivated and inspiring person.
Shelley has been a strong mentor and thinking partner in my coaching journey. She has increased my ability to include positivity and kindness in the work we do. She reminds me to stop and include celebrations of strengths in my personal mindset. She has been an uplifting, reliable and consistently helpful team member. Her encouragement has elevated my commitment and success. Shelley is the first person I would call to guide and support any professional challenges that I might face in the future. She has been the very best learning partner on this journey. She has inspired me to learn, grow and appreciate my gifts in every interaction we’ve had; whether it’s improving my external environment to support my professional focus, or elevating my internal thinking to see a new perspective. With Shelley, I always feel seen, heard, and understood.
I had the privilege of meeting Shelley in 2014 when I was living in Victoria. It was a chance meeting through a VIATEC fundraising event, and she and I share the same positive, outgoing energy so we connected straight away. Since then, we have stayed in touch over the years via social media even after I moved back to the mainland. As soon as I saw that Shelley was doing executive coaching, I reached out right away to see if there was an opportunity for us to work together. I have been in a leadership position within my family company for the last 3 years and have had a number of challenges along the way. We have been doing monthly meetings for about five months now, and she has done wonders for my self-confidence in leadership, my decisiveness, and understanding my ability and true worth. Shelley brings an authentic, caring, professional, and experienced voice to our sessions together. It is a welcome change to be truly heard and accurately reflected by a seasoned professional. I am so pleased with how our sessions have evolved; she is a natural coach. I have already recommended her to many of my peers. Anyone looking for a kind, professional executive coach would be well served to reach out to Shelley.
Professional, energetic, and committed; Shelley’s personable approach cultivates and sustains meaningful relationships across a broad spectrum of organizations and institutes. Through my line of work, I had several opportunities to discuss and align our shared military-professional-academic communities. Whether in the local area in Victoria, or on the road across Canada where I often bumped into Shelley at professional symposia, she brought an infectious enthusiasm and passion for her craft that resonated with folks. She is strategic in perspective, and targeted in delivery. Clearly defines and shapes executive leadership; she is impactful and a definite asset to any organization, I can only hope that I will have the opportunity to work with Shelley again.
Shelley is one of the hardest working and professional people I know. She not only brings a wealth of experience to her work, but she invests herself in building and nurturing relationships. Over the years that I have known her, Shelley often took the time to listen to the many senior police leaders I work with about their academic needs and aspirations and helped them to choose educational options that were right for them. In today’s world, it is a pleasure to know and work with a professional and dedicated pro like Shelley.
When you chair a volunteer organization you hope for people like Shelley to step up. Rare to find someone as hard working and dedicated as Shelley – she was enthusiastic in her support for creating a community of peers for women in STEM. Working side by side – what impressed me most was her positive and can-do attitude. She was the personification of a business communicator – becoming part of all the various groups she engaged with. I know first hand the long-tail benefits of a connection builder like Shelley!
